The worst of the rare April storm is past.

However, light snow will continue to fall across the Twin Cities Friday.

KSTP.com Meteorologist Jonathan Yuhas said temperatures will remain below freezing and will make for some slippery spots on the roads and sidewalks.

Some Wayzata Residents Petition to Protect Klapprich Park

Some Wayzata residents have signed a petition to save the historic Klapprich Park.

Many families moved to be near the park, which is more than a century old.

But over the years, many say it has become a source of nuisance.

296 Crashes Reported During April Storm in Minn.

A snow and sleet storm Thursday across Minnesota resulted in 296 crashes as of 4 p.m., according to the State Patrol.

Of those, 39 crashes caused injuries. There were no serious or deadly injuries reported.

In addition, 440 vehicles went off the road and spun out, according to the state patrol. The incidents happened between 5 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday across the state.

Sleet, Snow Create Difficult Driving Conditions in the Metro

Rain, sleet and snow made travel difficult in the metro Thursday morning.

The State Patrol said they have handled at least 180 crashes as of 10 a.m.

A number of ramps were closed due to vehicles losing control.

Crews were out trying to stay ahead of the wintry mix Wednesday evening into the morning.
